Water inrush and failure characteristics of coal seam floor over a confined aquifer

چکیده

Failure behaviors of the floor rocks under coal seam mining in conditions hard magma rock roof and confined aquifer are studied. Based on theory stresses elasticity mechanics, combined effects abutment pressure induced by water thin aquicludes were considered, a mechanical model was constructed along strike working face. An analytical solution stress distribution derived rocks, distributions vertical, horizontal shear calculated. In combination with in-situ measurement, results show that: 1) when periodic caused collapse occurs face, maximum concentration appears at elastic–plastic junction direction With increase depth floor, coefficient tends to decrease, corresponding isoline shows “symmetric spiral” propagates downward certain angle vertical direction. This causes generate compression or tension failure. 2) immediate is rock, trend slow initially then rapid later. The peak value location 4–6 meters from wall between 1.4 1.8. 3) according measurement calculation failure depths different positions same seam, it found that near reduces 11.6% after goes through “the caving re-compaction”, which fractures close thickness effective aquiclude increases. un-mined area 55% depth. 4) both theoretical numerical simulation increases obviously action high pressure. Under condition relatively thin, intensity sensitive factors affect floor. As increases, getting closer Ordovician Limestone. study provides an improved understand support for safe seams similar conditions.

Prediction of Water Inrush from Coal Floor Based on Small Sample Data Mining Technology and Realization Using MATLAB

For there are few samples of water inrush from coal floor, how to dig wider information under the circumstance of limited sample data is to improve the prediction accuracy of water inrush form coal floor. Therefore, prediction model of water inrush is established based on correlation analysis and support vector machine (SVM). Not only does the model simplify the influenced indexes to construct ...

Research on Electrical Characteristics of Water Conducted Crack Zone in the Coal Seam

Water disaster is one of the five natural disasters in coal mines, and it badly threats the lives safety of miners. As well known, the main reason of evoked flooding is water conducted fractured zone in the coal seam. Based on the Maxwell equation, we try to study the relationship between apparent resistivity and stratigraphic dip as well as strata direction. The numerical results show that the...

Assessing Connectivity Between an Overlying Aquifer and a Coal Seam Gas Resource Using Methane Isotopes, Dissolved Organic Carbon and Tritium

Coal seam gas (CSG) production can have an impact on groundwater quality and quantity in adjacent or overlying aquifers. To assess this impact we need to determine the background groundwater chemistry and to map geological pathways of hydraulic connectivity between aquifers. In south-east Queensland (Qld), Australia, a globally important CSG exploration and production province, we mapped hydrau...
